A família frente à doença mental: fatores econômicos e socioculturais do comportamento desviante

RESUMO

It was proceeded a study on the production of deviant behaviors and on referring theoretical-practical questions to the possible influences of the society and the culture, from including form, in the configuration of considered individual behaviors in deviation forms for the institutionalized effective standards, in historical context. The thematic discussion bases on estimated of that the sociocultural the family context can also contribute for the formation of alterations of behaviors without that, necessarily, they must be characterized as pathological, that is, as illnesses. Inserted in the Family and Society area that study had been carried through by means of formulary questionnaires in the evaluation of ten families in whose if it found, to little, one of its components considered as mental sick resident in an area of the city of Salvador, located in the Railroad Suburb. The collection of the data was effected through domiciliary visits and the analysis of the results of the research disclosed significant influence of the religious concepts in the configuration of behaviors of studied patients. References to the interactions between deviation forms and the sociocultural context had been frequent in the searched families. In general way, the fragments of speech of patients and familiar had suggested a relation between the economic social and the deviant behavior and that cultural aspects can contribute to unchain behavior alterations.
