RESUMO

The dissertation aims to deal with the problem of the exclusion of black people from the Public University in Brazil. Therefore, this work analyzes the education paths of nineteen blacks young womem and mem who were enrolled as regular students in several undergraduate courses at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) between 1999 and 2001. They have faced a number of hardships from elementary school, and high school to college such as those related to daily subsistence, gender relations and practices of racial discrimination, which can be defined as hidden discrimination, which can be defined as hidden racism or ouvert racism
