RESUMO

Nowadays, facing the extreme lack of dwellings scenery, it becomes urgent and essential the establishment of rationalized building processes and techniques, searching for savings, applicability, quickness and quality, in order to optimize social housing production. Besides, it is necessary to enhance that the perspective to get a property, for a large part of the Brazilian population is a once in a life time opportunity. So, before this reference, quick technique solutions associated to low budget and environmental comfort, is, today, the most profit option, where metallic construction has been shown as a good solution as well. However, the introduction and the growing demand of these building processes still require some evaluations, so that wont be a new stage process beginning with the same wastes and frustrations that characterized the former one, allowing operation and maintenance compatible with the user and, consequently, the optimization of the worth life of the acquired inheritance. Focusing on this particular need, this work consists if an investigation about performance evolution if steel framework associated to self help groups construction process, with residential purposes for low income populations. The main goal of this analysis is to measure users satisfaction, not only about a esthetics, symbolic, functional and formal aspects, but also taking the user as part of the social mechanism, that, facing a new building technology, shows a critical view as the final consumer. In this sense, the constructive quality and the ease of maintenance demand professional responsibility.
