RESUMO

The origin of this work concerns the existential disquiets and the experiences lived by the author in the teaching profession activities performance of São Paulo public schools net. Its main aim is to discuss the educative prevention question about drug use in school surroundings. It is expected to do it by establishing the limits and intrinsic socio-cultural dimensions to the question, what involves understanding the present causal connections between the drug consumption phenomenon and the social process. To investigate the educative prevention from drug use is to investigate the school, which must involve withheld consideration on the adversities of its topical moment and the hopeful trust that is verified about it. The study suggests, then, pointing presuppositions out in order to lay a foundation for a scholastic project concerned to the prevention actions from narcotics use. In a second moment, it intends to establish some interlocution with a school located in the Grande São Paulo metropolitan region, in Heliópolis, one of the most violent locations of the city, with slaughter histories, "curfews" and rampage among drug dealers, in order to examine which means and ways those presuppositions are verified in the daily routine of the referred school pedagogic work. The thesis defend~d here is the one that the educative prevention from drug use is defined as project - identified as a range of possibilities, of culture order that is able to engage individuals in partnerships, aiming at meanings of production, stories for existence and writings of the respective biographies or narrative. More clearly, it is postulated that the deep ethos, or the reigning arranged atmosphere in the school, arising out of a real meeting between this one and its environment, and arising out of a democratic pedagogy concerned to the student social inclusion, constitutes a crucial element for the drug use educative prevention
