RESUMO

The Brazilian Constitution consecrates and regards education as a social right. The constitutional principles pledge it for all citizens, which compells the government to work together with the families to make it happen. In this context, we are of the opinion that the primary school is the first step towards the University as it contributes to the learning of the persons involved in order to build a more democratic society, with liberty and equality. The learning, the skills and the attitudes are shown in the relationship between teacher and student. The powerful tool that helps to consolidate this is called Projeto Político-Pedagógico‟, prepared by the entire school community. The challenge of the contemporary education is to meet the needs brought by this globalized world, where there is a clear preference for the multivalent professionals with general knowledge as well as for those who are specialists in their areas
