RESUMO
RESUMO: Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma investigação sobre o papel desempenhado pelas plataformas eletrónicas utilizadas pela administração educativa na intensificação de algumas das dimensões da burocracia estudada por Max Weber. Esse facto origina novos problemas na relação difícil entre burocracia e democracia. O autor ilustra essa realidade com o exemplo da plataforma eletrónica de colocação de docentes utilizada pela administração educativa em Portugal. Conclui que existem novos domínios na ação administrativa que escapam aos controlos tradicionais e impedem a participação dos interessados na tomada de decisões.ABSTRACT: This article presents the results of an investigation on the role played by the electronic platforms used by the educational administration in the intensification of some of the bureaucratic dimensions, studied by Max Weber. It creates new problems in the difficult relationship between bureaucracy and democracy. The author illustrates this reality with the example of the electronic platform of teachers’ placement used by Portugal’s educational administration. He concludes that there are new areas for administrative action which escape traditional controls and prevent stakeholders’ participation in decision-making.
