RESUMO

This paper aims at investigating how it is given the improvement of the comprehension in (Ensino MÃdio) High School Students, from the dialogic treatment in opinion articles. Thus, the object of the research is the enunciation heterogeneity applied to the teaching of reading in argumentative texts. The Corpus for this study was composed by activities in interpretation prepared from opinion articles collected from local newspapers. Such activities were done by first year students of (Ensino MÃdio) high school from a public school in the State of Pernambuco. The interpretation, discussion of the data, as well as the considerations about the practice of the teaching of reading were based on the Enunciation Theory in a bakthinian perspective. The results of the initial phase of the research show that the students do not see or interpret the several voices inscribed in the text. These results point to the necessity of the school to abandon the homogenizing project of language treatment and consider the teaching of reading as a meaningful practice which privileges the building of meaning. From the final results of the research we propose a practice of reading in (Ensino MÃdio) High School that contemplates the study of the heterogeneity expressed in opinion articles as a effective mechanism in the broadening of comprehension and, consequently, the development of more critical and autonomous readers before spreading texts
