1. Additive Manufacturing towards the Fabrication of Greener Electrochemical Sensors for Antioxidants
Additive manufacturing is an emerging tool that has contributed to the sustainable fabrication of devices in several areas based on the concept of “zero waste”. Considering extrusion-based manufacturing (or 3D printing), polylactic acid (PLA) has been highlighted due to its biodegradability, obtention from renewable sources, and compatibility for 3D prin

2. Magnetic and Mesoporous Silica-Niobia Material as Modifier of Carbon Paste Electrode for p-Nitrophenol Electrochemical Determination
In the present work, the sol-gel synthesis method was employed as strategy to obtain a magnetic and mesoporous silica-niobia material. The planned synthesis was based on the hetero-condensation of niobium and silicon alkoxide precursors, in the presence of spherical magnetite particles. The resulting material presented interesting characteristics such as mag

3. Drawing Electrochemical Sensors Using a 3D Printing Pen
This communication demonstrates that a 3D printing pen, commercially-available as a toy for kids, can be used to draw thermoplastic electrochemical sensors using conductive filaments over any desirable format and substrate. A polylactic acid filament containing graphene or carbon black was passed through the 3D pen that works as a handheld 3D printer (fused

4. Evaluation of Carbon Nanotubes/Polyaniline Thin Films for Development of Electrochemical Sensors
Thin films of multiwalled carbon nanotubes/polyaniline nanocomposites (CNT/PAni) were synthesized through the liquid/liquid (L/L) interfacial route, deposited over glass substrates, and evaluated through cyclic voltammetry and amperometry as electrochemical sensor, using L-ascorbic acid as probe. Films with three different CNT/PAni ratios have been prepared.

5. Chemically Reduced Graphene Oxide on Gold Electrodes from Recordable CDs: Characterization and Potential Sensing Applications
This work presents the development and characterization of a new chemically modified electrode exploiting recordable Au-rewritable compact discs (AuCDs) as substrate for drop casting of a chemically-reduced graphene-oxide slurry focusing on simple and low-cost electrochemical sensors. Increase in electrochemical responses in cyclic voltammetric and amperomet

6. A New Electrochemical Platform Based on a Polyurethane Composite Electrode Modified with Magnetic Nanoparticles Coated with Molecularly Imprinted Polymer for the Determination of Estradiol Valerate in Different Matrices
A polyurethane composite electrode modified with magnetic nanoparticles (mag; Fe3O4) coated with molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) was developed for the electrochemical determination of estradiol valerate. Chemical and morphological analyses of the mag-MIP were performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (E

8. Electrode Material Containing Graphite Incorporated to an Amino-Functionalized Polydimethylsiloxane Network for the Detection of Copper
Graphite was incorporated to a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) polymer network functionalized with amino groups to obtain an electrode material and used to detect copper ions in aqueous solutions and sugarcane spirit. The polymer network was prepared with PDMS, 3-aminopropyl-trimethoxysilane (APTMS), tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) with addition of graphite to o

9. Mechanisms of Ion Detection for FET-Sensors Using FTO: Role of Cleaning Process, pH Sequence and Electrical Resistivity
The use of FTO samples as an extended gate field effect transistor biosensor is presented. The FTO samples were produced by spray pyrolysis technique. The cleaning process is shown to have a fundamental importance for the final sensitivity of the samples when multiple re-usage is adopted. The role of electrical resistivity and morphology of the films are inv

11. ELETRODOS DE FTO MODIFICADOS POR ELETRODEPOSIÇÃO DIRETA DE OURO: PRODUÇÃO, CARACTERIZAÇÃO E APLICAÇÃO COMO SENSOR ELETROQUÍMICO
Chemically modified electrodes have been studied to obtain new and better electrochemical sensors. Transparent conductive oxides, such as fluorine-doped tin-oxide (FTO), shows electrical conductivity comparable to metals and are potential candidates for new sensors. In this work, FTO was modified by gold electrodeposition from chlorine-auric acid solution us

12. Multilayer Graphene Films Obtained by Dip Coating Technique
A dip coating system was projected and constructed to deposit a large range of thin films onto solid substrates. A microcontroller was used to control the deposition system. As an example of application multilayer graphene (MLG) films were deposited onto glass slices in order to obtain conductive films with relatively good light transmittance. The MLG flakes
