1. Microtensile bond strength of resin composite to dentin using different adhesive systems and directions of electric current

2. Analysis of enamel and material wear by digital microscope: an in-vitro study
Abstract: The objective of the study was to analyze the surface area (SA) of the wear caused by simulated chewing on human enamel and opposing restorative material, namely: composite resin (CR), porcelain fused to metal (PFM), lithium disilicate (LD), or monolithic zirconia (MZr). Forty-eight premolars were selected as enamel specimens and divided randomly i

3. Influence of hydrofluoric acid etching time and concentration on shear bond strength of metal brackets to ceramic surfaces

4. Adhesiveness of bulk-fill composite resin in permanent molars submitted to Streptococcus mutans biofilm
Abstract: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the microtensile bond strength and the microleakage of a bulk-fill composite resin compared with a conventional incremental composite resin, in permanent molars and under cariogenic challenge using a Streptococcus mutans model. Permanent human third molars (n = 60) with an occlusal cavity of 5×3×2 mm w

5. Influence of a Retentive Shoulder Design to Prevent Early Failure of Three Core Build-Ups

6. High-viscosity glass-ionomer vs. composite resin restorations in persons with disability: Five-year follow-up of clinical trial
Abstract The aim of this clinical trial was to compare the 5-year cumulative survival of atraumatic restorative treatment restorations using high-viscosity glass-ionomer restorations (ART/HVGIC) and conventional resin composite restorations (CRT) placed in patients with intellectual and/or physical disability. Patients referred for restorative care to a spec

7. The use of a liner under different bulk-fill resin composites: 3D GAP formation analysis by x-ray microcomputed tomography
Abstract Gap formation of composite resin restorations is a serious shortcoming in clinical practice. Polymerization shrinkage stress exceeds the tooth-restoration bond strength, and it causes bacterial infiltration within gaps between cavity walls and the restorative material. Thus, an intermediate liner application with a low elastic modulus has been advis

8. Influence of water absorption on glass fibre reinforced IPN composite pipes
Abstract Glass fibre reinforced composite pipes were fabricated by using an IPN blend of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% PU prepolymer (Polyurethane) with VER(Vinylester) resin. The prepared IPN (Interpenetrating polymer networks) composite pipes were subjected to boiling water immersion tests in order to study the effect of moisture absorption characteristics.

9. Influence of Cavity Dimensions on Microleakage of Two Bulk-Fill Composite Resins
Abstract Objective: To evaluate the effect of cavity dimensions on the amount of microleakage in two different types of bulk-fill composite resins. Material and Methods: Forty class II cavities were prepared in the mesial and distal surfaces of human molars without any carious lesions. The samples were divided into 4 groups (n=10): Group 1: cavities with 3

10. Effect of Different Fiber Reinforcement Strategies on the Fracture Strength of Composite Resin Restored Endodontically Treated Premolars
Abstract Objective: To compare the effect of three different fiber reinforcement strategies on the fracture strength of composite resin restored endodontically treated premolars. Material and Methods: Seventy-two sound human premolars extracted for orthodontic reasons were divided into 6 groups (n=12) after endodontic treatment. Group 1: intact teeth (posi

12. Effect of grape seed extract-containing phosphoric acid formulations on bonding to enamel and dentin
Abstract The aim was to evaluate the effect of 2% grape seed extract (GSE) containing phosphoric acid (PhA) on the bond strength to enamel and dentin. The control group was 37% PhA. The following three PhA formulations with 2% GSE and 20% ethanol were obtained: GSE5 = 5% PhA; GSE10 = 10% PhA; and GSE20 = 20% PhA. The enamel and dentin surfaces of molars were
