1. Activity budget and social behavior of urban capuchin monkeys, Sapajus sp. (Primates: Cebidae)
ABSTRACT Constant changes in natural environments impose challenges to wild animal populations, especially those that depend on social life. We gathered data on the activity budget and social interactions of a capuchin monkey (Sapajus sp.) group of 17 individuals confined to an urban green area receiving human food supplementation. We observed the capuchins

2. Comparison between total intravenous anesthesia with propofol and intermittent bolus of tiletamine-zolazepam in capuchin monkey (Sapajus apella)

3. Oral microbiota and their antibiotic susceptibility in free-living monkeys in Goiás State, Brazil: Repercussions for injuries in humans
Abstract INTRODUCTION: Goiás State, which is in the midwest region of Brazil, has several urban forests. This fact, along with the expansion of urban areas within the limits of Forest Conservation Units, increases the contact between humans and wildlife, such as capuchin monkeys. The impulsive behavior of these animals and the scarcity of food cause them

4. Blank-comparison matching-to-sample reveals a false positive symmetry test in a capuchin monkey
A positive symmetry test result was obtained with a capuchin monkey that had previously exhibited virtually errorless AB and BA arbitrary matching-to-sample (MTS) with different stimuli. The symmetry test (BA) followed the acquisition of a new AB relation. It seemed possible, however, that the positive result could have occurred through the exclusion of prev

5. Restricted stimulus control in stimulus control shaping with a capuchin monkey
Teaching the first instances of arbitrary matching-to-sample to nonhumans can prove difficult and time consuming. Stimulus control relations may develop that differ from those intended by the experimenter-even when stimulus control shaping procedures are used. We present, in this study, efforts to identify sources of shaping program failure with a capuchin m

7. Interação entre humanos e macacos-prego Cebus libidinosus Spix, 1823 sob a influência de ambientes antropizados / Interaction betweeen humans and capuchin monkeys Cebus libidinosus Spix, 1823 and under the influence of anthropic environments

9. Estudos dos pigmentos visuais de macaco-prego (cebus sp) e da relação entre a psicofísica e a genética da visão de cores em humanos / Study of the visual pigments from capuchin monkey (Cebus sp) and the psychophysics and the genetics colour vision relationship in humans
Color vision is possible due to different types of photoreceptors and to the post receptoral processing of the information generated after cell activation by the light. Genetic, functional and morphological analysis can be used as tools in the color vision studies. In the present work the genetic of the visual pigments from Cebus sp and the genetic and the p
