1. Evaluation of the immunomodulatory effect against splenocytes of Balb/c mice of biflorin obtained from Capraria biflora by a new isolation method
Abstract Biflorin (6,9-dimethyl-3-(4-methylpent-3-en-1-yl) benzo[de]chromene-7,8-dione) is a promising substance that has been increasingly studied in the past decades due to its diverse pharmacological properties (i.e. antitumor, antioxidant, antiinflamatory, antimicrobial activity etc.). Aiming the comprehension of its antitumoral activity we investigated

2. Biflorin: an o-naphthoquinone of clinical significance

The chemical composition of Spathelia excelsa (Krause) R. S. Cowan & Brizicky was investigated and the limonoids harrisonin (1) and deacetylspathelin (2), alkaloids folinin and casimiroin mixture (3a, b), plus a further casimiroin (3b) were identified in methanol extract from root. The CH2Cl2 extract from the rachis yielded protolimonoid 3β-angeloyl-21,24-e

Analysis of essential oil from fresh leaves of Capraria biflora allowed identification of fourteen essential oil constituents among which thirteen are sesquiterpene compounds, and α-humulene (43.0%) the major constituent. The essential oil was tested for larvicidal activity against Aedes aegypti showing good activity, with LC50 73.39 µg/mL (2.27 g/mL). Chr

5. Estudo do potencial antimetastÃtico da biflorina / STUDY OF ANTI-METASTATIC POTENTIAL OF BIFLORIN
Neste quadro, decidimos avaliar o potencial antimeta

7. Estudo da atividade antimetastÃtica da biflorina, uma o-naftoquinona isolada das raÃzes de Capraria biflora / Study of anti-metastatic activity of biflorina, an o-naphtoquinone isolated from roots of Capraria biflora.

8. Estudo do potencial antineoplÃsico da biflorina, о- naftoquinona isolada das raÃzes de Capraria biflora L / Antineoplastic potential of biflorin, о- naftoquinone isolated from the roots of Capraria biflora L
9. Thermal behavior of biflorin by beans TG and a DSC photovisual system
This work proposes thermal characterization, of the biflorine, orto-quinon of Capraria biflora L., through the TG and DSC photovisual data. The thermogravimetric results showed that the decomposition reaction biflorine occurs three steps under air atmosphere, The DSC of biflorin presented five peaks relating to phase transitions. The DSC photovisual system d
