Sistema de informaÃÃo para parques e praÃas: uma abordagem ergonÃmica dos espaÃos livres pÃblicos




The research has the purpose of defining directives for the elaboration and evaluation of Information Systems for public squares and parks, using an ergonomic approach to the free public places. The research will assume that the planning of information systems situated in the free public spaces: squares and parks, respecting the vocation of each place and considering the necessities of the users and stakeholders, can bring a positive contribution to the renewal of the environment where these social interactions take place. The general objective is to define the directives for the creation of Systems of Information for the free public spaces: squares and parks, with the aim of furnishing these places with the informative elements: of spatial orientation, cultural diffusion, environmental education, and preservation of public goods, essential for a more beneficial and complete utilization of these places by the public user. For that reason, the abilities and limitations of the identified user groups should be considered in order to adapt that information to the specific characteristics of the public and place. These objectives intend to offer a better quality of life to the population, as far as these spaces correspond to the needs of the public user. This research is based on the study of ergonomics, with emphasis on informational ergonomics, cognitive ergonomics, ergonomics of the building environment and cultural ergonomics, considering the principles of universal design and integral accessibility. The methodology used in this research is the Systemic Analysis of the man-work-machine System in the stages of appreciation and ergonomic diagnosis. The use of these method and techniques gave the necessary means to obtain an ergonomic diagnostic which defined the formation of the guidelines for the creation of the systems of information for parks and public squares
