RESUMO

The mechanical ventilation is a routine practice in several Intensive Therapy Units and it inspires important decisions with relationship to your correct execution. In the area of the health, the electric outlet of monitorization consists of an important problem, have seen that the medical information is frequently subjective. Monitorization and decision outlet are rarely made with the ownership of the whole group of necessary information to the success. The lack of information associated to the complexity requires to searching of complementary informations. The purpose of this study was to guarantee support technological, from of the decision support system, to help health professional at monitoring critical patients in mechanical ventilation, helping them to determine variables of monitoring process and the effectiveness of the practice on the decision. A Decision Support System was modeled (DSS), having Bayesian Network as technique of Artificial Intelligence, once it works satisfactorily with uncertainty, present inside of the domain hnowledge. The validation and accomplishment of variables necessaries on the decision support preceding modeling of DSS, distinguishing a flow activities that surrounded the monitorization. To validation system was used a base of 50 test cases, created from collection of sceneries and variables selected from interview with professionals. Of these 50 base of cases, 10 cases constitute the group_GOLD STANDARD. The system acquired on tests# validity, high sensibility and specificity (100%). The DSS was able to alert the professional on change of variable, modality or both, attending yet as an important control of mistakes on the ventilatory monitoring process.
