RESUMO

The present work consists on a study of a cogeneration system using natural gas microturbine simulator for technical and economical analyze. The residential environment was chosen for its favorable cogeneration system characteristics, because it presents a representative electrical demand, and also an expressive thermal demand. From the load side, the model is based on the electrical and thermal (hot water and cool air) demand curves of a residential building. From the generation side, the cogeneration system model proposed is based on the equations of microturbine electrical and thermal energy, the heat exchanger, the boiler and the absorption chiller. The MATLAB/SIMULINK was used to simulate the cogeneration system. Different configurations to attend the thermal and electrical demands of a residential complex were realized and the results were used on the viability study and the sensibility analyze. In conclusion, the obtained results were satisfactory and were exposed on this thesis.
