RESUMO

The current issue of sustainability and the need for further studies on the subject arouses the attention of academia and the corporate world due to the behavior of society that seems to be more attentive to what has happened around the planet. Thus, the theme has influenced changes in organizational processes and discourses in favor of sustainability, which has become an important strategy in business, which impacts the organizational management as a whole, and therefore requires the scaling of communication practices adopted, or the communication provides a sense of sustainability impacting, in turn, management, or communication is permeating the whole process of discourse to the practice of sustainability of organizations. This paper highlights the functionalist perspectives on communication, informational and interpretive communication, relational communication because it is believed that both complement each other in the construction and understanding of organizational reality. So, faced with complex issues, recent and relevant work aims to understand communication that builds the meaning of sustainability for individuals, from a theoretical discussion that addresses sustainability issues, sustainability organizations in the context of the relationship between communication and organization and communication processes, followed by the single case study, data were collected through desk research and qualitative research with semi-structured questionnaire with in-depth interview and focus group, in the interpretive tradition in the Alfa Food Co., a fictitious name to preserve the identity of the organization, located in the interior of Paraná. From the data analysis was possible to observe the communication processes through the informational and relational ways, manifesting itself in the organization, often without the possibility of identifying your clear beginning, middle and end, since communication is continuous and complex. The study has also found that the communication processes shape the organization, through the informational and relational communication, the organization is built in their daily lives through information and interaction opportunities that allow the interpretation of the meaning and the opportunity to events of everyday life, prompting the subject to act, produce, generate experiences and feed the cycle of interaction, interpretation, reframing each new context.
