RESUMO
The practice of dentistry in Brazil is regulated by the law 5.081/66 which has the following wording: "dentists are competent to make forensic dental expertise in civil, criminal, labor and administrative areas". Considering the increase of situations that requiJ dental expertise, such as a deal involving professional exercise and the need of maxillofacial injuries assessment, it is due to the tendency of Dentistry experts demand increase. To attend this reality and aiming to standardize data collection and uniform expert reports, making report generation safer and more agile, this study proposed the creation of a software that grouped key data for conducting a dental expertise in civil proceedings. The software was developed by Cleber Scoralick Júnior, a qualified professional using Visual Basic for Applications programming language. A software evaluation was realized with a demonstration for 20 dental expertise qualified dentists which completed a questionnaire with questions grading from O to 10. lt was obtained from each participant a Term of Free and lnformed Consent. The software was named Investigation and for it to operate it is necessary Microsoft Office 2000 or greater installed on your computer and at least 300 inegabytes of free hard disk space. lt also can operate from removable media (pen drives). ln data protection subject assessment, the average score was equal to 8.65 (standard deviation of 1.3869) with a confidence interval of 95% from average. ln data available and organizational coherence subject, 90% of the participants assigned grades greater than or equal to 8. lt was found that at least 95% of participants believed that the software lnvestigation has potential to make dental expert process more agile, more practical and standardized. Thus, we concluded that the software is able to standardize dental expert procedure, while increasing the quality and productivity of dentists working on civil expertise. Nevertheless, it is necessary to perform validation of this tool in future researches
