The modernization of civilization was based on a developmental model based on massive use of natural resources. Among the many problems related to urban environment, the issue of water resources is likely to be one of the most immediate, taking in the discussion regarding the development, worldwide, an increasing importance. Thus, this study aims to discuss the general irregular occupation of the soil and damage to water resources in Colônia Agrícola Vicente Pires. The specific objectives aim to present the importance of water resources management in the maintenance of irregularly occupied areas, identify potential areas of water pollution; carry out a survey of existing wells in the region and gathering data on the sanitation of footprint. The field research was conducted in the Colônias Agrícolas Vicente Pires, Samambaia e São José in order to verify the actual situation of water resources available to local people. Data collection took place by means of field research in the region, reading documents, reports obtained from the Regulatory Agency for Water, Energy and Sanitation District and Federal Environmental Sanitation Company of the Federal District. Statistical data on the population of the were obtained in the report together CODEPLAN for the year 2011. After analyzing the parameters of quality, features that stood out were the mean levels of dissolved oxygen that remain above 5 mg / l DBO values, around 0.4 to 2.1 mg / l O2, and DQO in around 5 to 13 mg / l O2. With the exception of the measured values for the parameter fecal coliform, all other parameters are satisfactory and consistent with legislation.
