RESUMO

This research presents a theoretical study on the techniques of registration forms of architectural monuments with historical value, with their respective potential and limitations, with emphasis on digital documents by using digital photogrammetry as the main instrument the PhotoModeler software. The digital photogrammetry proves to be an effective tool for obtaining various products related to architectural documentation, and other benefits such as low cost and reduction of working time, however, should not discard the other types of architectural registration as the simultaneous use of more than one process is appropriate for a more complete survey. The detailed documentation of real estate, where the fallen, it is a necessary step in the process of preserving heritage, since the risk of damage by natural causes or human is substantial and immeasurable losses. Within this context, are the fires, which, until the present time, destroyed most of the historical world than any other natural causes. Of origin as random events and great destructive power, the fire doubly emphasize the need for rigorous documentation of the buildings felled: first, because the design of prevention and protection against fire demand broad and deep knowledge of the building, second, because in case of repair of the damaged building, the record of their physical characteristics and geometry is essential.
