RESUMO

During the research developed for this Thesis, the objective was to investigate if an intervention on the sense of providing participants with the apprehension of their limits as well as their seeking for overcoming such limits would be able to modify their professional profile on an expected direction. From this question, a hypothesis was followed that the MLE (Mediated Learning Experience) would contribute for the mediated subjects to become capable of overcoming their limits on problem apprehension and resolution, facing contemporary demands. On the quest for a response to the question investigated, during the development of the methodology employed the Mediated Learning Experience (MLE), based on Reuven Feuerstein principles, - Instrumental Enrichment Program (IEP) exercises were proposed, solved by the mediated subjects, who, on this case, have agreed freely and spontaneously to take part of the mediation process. The group of participants to the MLE herein reported was formed by professionals from various areas of knowledge, employees from two independent contractor companies, hereinafter referred to as A and B. Procedures identical to those adopted to solve IEP exercises were applied to film shortcuts and to literary texts, originating debates that were recorded for further analyses and considerations, reported orally or written, which have resulted in practical guiding on the professional activities of those involved in the process. The change on the operational procedures of the companies, allied to the manifestations expressed by the subjects participating in the MLE, has allowed for an evaluation of the results obtained thus reaching this research main objective as well as to consider them affirmative responses to the question proposed on the beginning of this Thesis. Results obtained on during the application of the MLE, on the development of the research supporting this Thesis, are a construction in process that suffers, on its inside part, contradictions that are peculiar to a new human doing which is inserted into this process as a history register of a defined group that, at the least, had to rethink its educational and professional trajectory on a constantly changing world. During the MLE, the mediation criteria adopted intentionality/reciprocity, meaning, and transcendence have brought flexibility for changes. These criteria, lived and transferred to other professional contexts, empowered each participant from the group involved in this experiment with the development of intra and inter-personal languages towards the desired modifiability
