RESUMO

The search of public use in the Prosa Park was based on surveys and interviews with managers, employees, interns and visitors (tourists and the local community of Campo Grande/MS). This work paper presents a brief history of the tourism development in conservation units and listing the origin of tourism and leisure at parks and also the importance of ecotourism, environmental education and the relation which exists between the sustainable tourism and the local development. A detailed study about the park is made and its history, local and zones are shown, besides the natural aspects and the substructure and services which are offered to the visitors. It is also possible to notice how visitation has taken place at the park, the different kinds of visitors and attractions for them and the new alternatives of substructure for the park. Coming to a conclusion, that there is a proposal containing in some paths which can be followed to the development of sustainable tourism at the Prosa Park.
