The factors of risk and occurrence of tumours are different between childhood and adults, in relation and frequency or histological type. In Latin America and the Caribbean, childhood cancer represents 0,5% to 3% of all malignancies. In Brazil, this proportion is about 2%. Epidemiological researchers about childhood cancer are rare comparative to adult cancer. However, the new cases are rare, but have the biggest social impact, because it has lethal effects. The objective to define the epidemiological profile of children and adolescents from Campinas São Paulo, with diagnostic in one Reference Service of childhood cancer treatment. This is one epidemiological descriptive research with data of archive analysis on SAME - Boldrini, during the period from 1996 until 2005. The inclusion criteria were childhood cancers from ICCC Groups I, II, III and IX. Moreover, these individuals were from Campinas and below nineteen years old at the time of diagnostic. The data collection instrument was prepared by the Population-Based Cancer Registry of Campinas, containing identification, demographics and tumour variables. The continuous variables were presented as descriptive statistics, Interval of Confidence (95%), and the category variables were presented as frequency and percentage. The case were identified according to the place of residence and later added to the Global Information System, and the analysis to the Campinas Health District. 180 case studies were identified and 58% were male, with an average age of 08 years. The Group I had 50% of total. In spatial data analysis, the Health District that had a higher clustering of cases were: the South, the Southwest and the Northwest.
