RESUMO

The main objective of this research was to evaluate the internal conditions of the environment in two commercial broiler houses equipped with two different cooling systems: wet cellulose pads associated with nebulization (SRPN) and wet black screen pads associated with nebulization (SRSN). In the broiler houses, located in ItaberaÃ-GO country, the broiler production and human working environment was evaluated using variables related to thermal, acoustic and luminous environment and variables related to physiological responses and productive development of the poultries. Based on thermal confort indexes, it was concluded that broilers were under stress conditions during the hottest hours of the day (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) in both broiler houses evaluated. Moderate stress condition was verified for the workers continuously explored to the broiler house internal environment. The sound pressure and illuminance levels were below the threshold recommended for humans according to Brazilian and internationals legislations.
