A inovação e a estética como qualidade na formação do acadêmico em design

RESUMO

The researchs proposal is to investigate the existance and quality of some important components during the design process in the academic projects of the Univalis (Universidade do Vale do Itajaí) Industrial Design Course: the "creative innovation and the "aesthetic dimension", elements that builds the concept of an object creation. The researchs methodology includes a survey based on the literature review about the constitution of the design process and the elements that builds the formation of product characteristics, especially regarding the formal aesthetics and innovative qualities present in the especialized literature, underlying the main elements to be analyzed and discussed, justifying the criteria and methodological procedures considered most appropriate in the academics creations. Then, will be selected randomly 30 academic final projects that represents 10% of the total already done in the course, being examined by three design teachers and a design professional. The search results, obtained through the literature review and the survey data, permits an analysis of the progress and formatives aspects of the course, presenting the needs or credits for a better quality of education, aiming to prepare professionals to work based on standards of excellence and innovation
